The Legacy...

This lyric from the song "Someday, Sometime" was written for Jake Fleming by his father Bill when Jake was just an infant. The song speaks about the importance of passing down the legacy of art, music and life´s lessons to the next generation, something Jake and Jeni Fleming have been doing in Bozeman for nearly 10 years. Though they don´t have kids of their own, they see their weekly lesson time with 60 private students as an opportunity to give what was given them; the skills and encouragement to pursue their love of music. They were also looking to broaden the scope of those to whom this musical legacy could be conveyed.

The Mission...

Hand me down some silver, Inc., as an extension of this ideal, was created to provide young musicians the education, tools and opportunities to more fully experience the life-enriching benefit of music, as well as explore the many aspects of music, expanding and ensuring the life of our wealthy legacy of music in the Gallatin Valley and beyond.
